SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

Located on Long Island, Next Step Solutions NY LLC is a company designed to help neurodiverse individuals and their families navigate the college application process, find the right support program, and provide necessary assistance during this life transition. We also support individuals transitioning from college to the workplace, as well as various other major life transitions. All of our services are 100% individualized and 100% online.  

 

Next Step Solutions NY is looking for a creative Social Media Intern to assist in growing our company and enhancing our online presence. New and innovative ideas are always welcome! This position is fully remote with flexible hours, and averages 10 hours per week. Must be able to receive college credit for the internship.

Responsibilities:

​

  • Manages the company’s social media accounts and posts

  • Assisting with the design and execution of social media campaigns

  • Engaging with followers, responding to comments and questions online

  • Creating flyers for both email campaigns and for distribution at various events

  • Provide suggestions to management for improving customer experience on social platforms and internal processes

  • Developing personalized flyers and promotional material for prospective clients

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

​

  • Currently seeking a degree in communications, media studies, social media, or related fields

  • Must be a rising college Junior or Senior and must be able to receive college credit for the internship

  • Experience with Facebook, Instagram required, knowledge of LinkedIn is a plus

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Able to adjust to a flexible schedule

  • Availability to meet (via Zoom/Google Meets) on Tuesday evenings preferred

PSYCHOLOGY INTERN

Located on Long Island, Next Step Solutions NY LLC is a company designed to help neurodiverse individuals and their families navigate the college application process, find the right support program, and provide necessary assistance during this life transition. We also support individuals transitioning from college to the workplace, as well as various other major life transitions. All of our services are 100% individualized and 100% online.  

 

Next Step Solutions NY is looking for a creative Psychology Intern to assist our day-to-day operations. This position is fully remote with flexible hours, and averages 10 hours per week. Must be able to receive college credit for the internship. 

​

Responsibilities:

​

  • Work directly with the founder to update all company spreadsheets and documents related to college support programs for individuals with autism

  • Contact colleges and universities to obtain up-to-date information on their college support programs

  • Perform client intakes with the student and parents

  • Identify support programs that are a best fit for the client

  • Meet individually with clients to assist them with enhancing personal and professional skills

  • Attend high school resource and transition fairs on behalf of the company

  • Contact local SEPTA/SEPTO's to see how the company can be of assistance to families in their organization

Requirements:

​

  • Currently seeking an undergraduate degree in psychology

  • Must be a rising college Junior or Senior and must be able to receive college credit for the internship

  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities a plus, but not required

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Able to adjust to a flexible schedule

  • Availability to meet (via Zoom/Google Meets) on Tuesday evenings preferred
